Docsmedi R&D Center

INTRODUCTION

Established in 2018, the Docsmedi R&D Center continues to research the oral microbiome 
to suppress harmful bacteria and increase beneficial bacteria in the oral cavity. 


We developed and operate 'OralBiome Check,' which quantitatively analyzes harmful oral bacteria. 

As a solution, we also develop safe health products. 


New Material Development Team

Aiming to develop next-generation functional materials for various fields ranging from oral health 
(gum health, periodontal improvement) to blood glucose, blood pressure, and metabolic diseases. 
We research innovative new materials by conducting animal studies and human application trials. 





Genetic Analysis Team


We continuously develop and operate 'OralBiome Check,' Docsmedi's core technology. 

Going beyond the oral microbiome, we research to improve test accuracy and speed and 
study related diseases, aiming for microbiome balance in the gut and throughout the human body. 









New Product Development Team


Based on the research results of the New Material and Genetic Analysis teams, we handle the entire product development process, including development, market feasibility studies, and licensing 
for all Docsmedi products. 




Oral Derived Biobank-OralBiome Bank

Specialized Support Project for Biobanks supervised by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA). 

(Project: Oral Derived Biobank for Research on Overcoming Oral Diseases and Related Systemic Diseases, 2021.03 - 2025.12) 

We are conducting the Oral Derived Biobank project with our selected research partner, Apple Tree Dental Hospital. 

Docsmedi Oral-Derived Library 

This is a library of over 200 beneficial oral bacteria strains held by the Docsmedi R&D Center.
